Lobo women fall on the road

The UNM women's basketball team came up short in Lubbock Wednesday night losing to Texas Tech, 64-56. The Lobos are now 0-8 all-time at Texas Tech.

The Lobos missed their first ten field goal atempts of the game and trailed by 11 at halftime.  After shooting 6-36 from the field in the first half, New Mexico put together a second half rally.  The Lobos took a 34-33 lead with over 13 minutes to play but Texas Tech pulled away down the stretch.

The Lobos were led by Antiesha Brown with 17 points.  Ebony Walker came off the bench to add 12 points.

Former Cibola standout Amber Battle led Texas Tech with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
