The University of New Mexico women's basketball team couldn't overcome a poor shooting performance in the first half and lost to Texas, 67-52.

The Lobos missed 14 of their first 15 shots and finished the first half shooting less than 18% from the field.  The Lobos were down by a dozen at halftime, 30-18.

UNM was led by Antiesha Brown who scored 12 of her team-high 14 points in the second half.  Bryce Owens added 13 points.

UNM will host Colorado on Saturday and they will be without two of their post players.  Khadijah Shumpert will miss the game as she attends a funeral.  Ebony Walker is likely done for the season after suffering an achilles injury in the second half against Texas.
