The morning commute is looking treacherous on Thursday as the Arctic Blast makes its way into New Mexico.

A winter storm warning is in effect across the north central and eastern parts of the state, although some parts of southwestern New Mexico could also see a rain-snow mix.

Predicted snow totals are varied: 7-10" in Chama, 2-3" in Las Vegas, 3-6" in Raton, 2-4" in Clayton and 1-3" in the East Mountains. Folks in the Four Corners could see 1-3" of snow.

By noon on Thursday, freezing rain could mean travel trouble in the eastern planes.

Across southern New Mexico, KOB's weather team is predicting steady rain tomorrow. By Friday, most of the snow will be out of here.
