The Colorado State Rams and Washington State Cougars kicked off bowl season with a bang.

The Rams beat the Cougars 48-45 in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl on Saturday at University Stadium.

Colorado State overcame a 22-point deficit to win the game.

Washington State’s Teondray Caldwell fumbled a kickoff return at the Cougars own 24 yard line, which set up a game winning field goal for the Rams.

Rams quarterback Garret Grayosn threw for 369 yards and running back Kapri Bibbs ran for 169 yards and three touchdowns.

This was the eighth year of the New Mexico Bowl.
