A local business took action to help a downtown dance studio that lost its building in a fire.

The Gold Street Caffé hosted a fundraiser to help the National Institute of Flamenco on Saturday night.

The dance studio’s building burned down on Wednesday.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 talked to one of the managers at the restaurant  to learn what made them take action.

"We felt like after the fire that we all just needed to get together and do something cause they come in all the time,” said manager Elyse Cushman. “They’re our neighbors and this community here on Gold Street is actually really tight so we really wanted to do something"

The Gold Street Caffé is still accepting donations at their restaurant.
