Former Lobo Demetrius Walker will return to the Pit Monday night when the Lobos host Grand Canyon.  Walker transferred to the Arizona school after he was released from the UNM team following last season.

Walker currently leads the Antelopes in scoring, averaging 18 points a game.  Walker graduated from UNM last May and took advantage of the NCAA graduate transfer rule to be immediately eligible for his final season.  Grand Canyon is making the transition to Division I this year and joined the WAC.  The team is coached by former Phoenix Suns sharpshooter Dan Majerle.

Earlier this month Walker scored a career-high 26 points in GCU’s win over Vanguard on Dec. 3, the same game in which he pulled down a career-best 17 rebounds. He has scored in double figures in every game he has played this season. He was named to the Preseason All-WAC Second Team, as voted on by the league’s coaches.
