3-year-old hit by car in NE Albuquerque

A 3-year-old child is in stable condition after being struck by a vehicle in northeast Albuquerque on Tuesday morning.

Albuquerque police officers at the scene said the child suffered a broken femur, but is expected to be OK. The incident happened near Copper and Wyoming around 9:15 a.m.

A police official said the child had already been taken to UNM Hospital when officers arrived at the scene.

No charges have been filed at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
