Police are looking for a man who barricaded himself in his home near Candelaria and Carlisle.

Several hours later that home caught on fire and the man just disappeared.

Police are looking for a man named Joel Castillo-Angel. Meanwhile, investigators are still looking into whether the fire was started on purpose.

The APD SWAT team was at his home at the Aztec Village Mobile Home Park for several hours trying to talk him into coming outside.

Then a fire started inside the home, but when firefighters put it out 15 minutes later the man vanished.

KOB Eyewitness 4 talked to residents who woke up Tuesday morning to the sound of loud flash bangs next door.

“I took a look outside of my window saw the police service aids and the cops out here blocking off the road and that’s when I started we hear loud noises,” said neighbor Toby Baca said.

The home is considered a total loss. This was first called in as a domestic disturbance.

“Castillo-Angel is facing multiple charges in connection with this morning's incident including attempt to commit a violent felony (murder) and aggravated assault on a household member,” said a spokesperson with APD. “Two victims have been identified and reported that Joel attacked them with a knife.”
