Police were called to an Albuquerque elementary school early Monday after someone broke inside.

A spokesperson for the district said someone stole two computers from Zia Elementary near Washington and Lomas.

The district believes thieves have been targeting APS schools. In November, officials said burglars got away with more than $500,000 worth of computers in 10 months.

The district has been working on sting operations with Albuquerque police to make arrests in connection to the burglaries.
