A New Mexico girl who sang in a Super Bowl commercial said she's not listening to her critics.

Christy Bird was in a Coca-Cola commercial, the one in which "America the Beautiful" was sung in seven different languages.

Bird sang in Keres. It's the ancient language of her pueblo – Santo Domingo – and others.

"I'm doing a good thing," Bird said.

Bird might think so, but some people are criticizing the commercial.

Conservative radio show host Glenn Beck told his listeners today the ad is "selling a divided America."

Todd Starnes from Fox News tweeted, "Couldn't make out that song they were singing. I only speak English."

Bird, who points out Keres was spoken in this country long before English, said shes proud of the song and the part in it.

"Being the only one to speak Keres, that was amazing. I just don't get why people have to be hating," Bird said.

Bird, who also speaks perfect English, is 16-years-old. She attends Del Norte High School in Albuquerque.
