A charity game held between state house and senate members ended with the Senate Lobos defeating the House Aggies, 26-24.

The game was held to benefit the UNM Cancer Center and raised over $21,000 for the center.

Retired New Mexico State University Mens Basketball Head Coach Lou Henson and NMSU Deputy Athletics Director David McCollum coached the House Aggies, while UNM Mens Baseball Head Coach Ray Birmingham handled the chore for the Senate Lobos.

The "Hoops for Hope" basketball game has been an important source of private donations for over 15 years. Last year's game raised over $26,000, bringing the total amount the game has raised since 2007 to over $100,000.
