ALBUQUERQUE -- Police say speed was a factor in a rollover crash on I-25 that sent two people to the hospital late Sunday.

According to APD officer Tasia Martinez, 32-year-old Gustavo Delgado was traveling southbound on I-25 at a high rate of speed when he lost control and struck a barrier. The vehicle rolled on impact and hit another vehicle also traveling southbound.

Delgado was ejected from his vehicle and sustained serious injuries. He is listed in critical condition at UNM Hospital.

His passenger, 25-year-old Jennifer Vieth, was also taken to the hospital for injuries, but her condition was not released.
