Benny Bodo has been doing magic for the past 15 years, but for the past several years one of his biggest tricks is not letting his audience know he has stage 4 cancer.
The symptoms didn't seem too major, but Benny Bodo knew something was wrong.
More than four doctors later, he got his diagnosis.
There's a tumor in his nasal cavity.
It's grown so large that it's pushing on his eyes, causing issues with his vision.
But, even on his third round of chemotherapy, he's still working full-time at Presbyterian, and doing his magic show on the side.
"The Amazing Bodinni" puts on a brave face, and fools his audience.
He says it's not just for them; his act is helping his health.
"When I get them cracking up and them laughing, I'm laughing and so that's a really good part for me," Bodo said.
If only his magic could cure his cancer.
Bodo says he's optimistic that the tumor will shrink as they starve it of what it needs to grow.
If it shrinks, the next step is radiation to kill it.
