If you're tired of answering robocalls, there is a solution that might work for you.

Don't you just hate it?

Phone calls, from numbers you don't recognize, people you could do without, companies trying to sell you something you just don't want or need.

That sort of nuisance is enough to make anyone say "enough!"

Well, there's a new company in your corner.

NoMoRobo says it can help you, and do it for free.  They say that have a technology that can literally stop robocalls.  Last year, they won the FTC's Robocall Challenge, along with $25,000. So far, they say they're blocking more than 1.2 million robocallers.

If you'd like to give it a whirl, you can, especially if you have a Comcast landline.

CenturyLink is still not yet on board, nor is your cell carrier.

NoMoRobo uses a technology the company calls "simultaneous ringing" which can detect robocalls after just one ring.

It does not block out school closings, weather advisories, or prescription reminders.

So, if you're tired of those unwanted robocalls, you finally have a tangible line of defense.
