Albuquerque city councilors voted 7-2 Monday evening to officialy oppose the filming of the TV show 'COPS' in the city.

The resolution states the position of the council strongly in opposition to the filming of the series and urges the Bernalillo County Sheriff to reconsider his decision to allow filming.

Bernalillo County Sheriff Dan Houston says the show will follow his deputies starting next month. He says there is no way to prove the show will negatively impact the city's image.
