A New Mexico father plans to take the Boston Red Sox to court over a trademark.

Gary Aboud tells the El Paso Times he's prepared to go to court over the use of the "B Strong" logo and slogan.

They're used for the Braden Aboud Memorial Foundation, which was created in the memory of Aboud's son, who died in a skiing accident.

The Red Sox started using a similar logo after the Boston Marathon bombing more than a year ago.

Team officials have offered a joint-licensing agreement, but the Aboud family says there's nothing in it about compensation to their foundation.
