A woman, who is accused of driving drunk and injuring a police officer, faced a judge on Sunday.

32-yer-old Michelle Rivera allegedly swerved in and out of traffic on Interstate 40 near 6th Street on Friday night and sideswiped 52-year-old Robert Dilley’s car.

Dilley’s car flipped over and at last check, he was in critical condition at UNM Hospital.

Dilley retired from the Albuquerque Police Department and was working for the aviation police.

Rivera posted bail but was sent back to jail by the judge on a higher bond.
