Three Rivers Brewery is a unique restaurant in the heart of downtown Farmington. This restaurant has their own rules and has added a new one to the list.

“Please put your E-cigarette away while you eat lunch,” explains Three Rivers owner, Bob Beckley.

Beckley tells KOB Eyewitness News 4 he believes it's the right thing to do.

“I don't really know about the health or the dangers or whatever, I’m just trying to do what's best for our guests that come into the restaurant here and I don't want to alienate anybody,” Beckley said.

When the ban was announced the restaurant’s Facebook page was flooded with comments. Some for the ban and some highly opposed to it.

“I guess it frustrates me in the fact that we all need to just chill out. That’s what it all boils down to, it’s not that big a deal! Chill out and let’s get down the road,’ said Beckley.

Beckley doesn't think the ban will harm his business. Several diners KOB talked to don't mind the ban.

“I think it’s a great idea,” said Adriane Lewis, “I'm not too familiar with the e-cigarettes, whether it gives off second hand smoke like a normal cigarette, but if it does, if they are looking out for the health of the patrons and customers here so I’m all for it.”
