The NCAA is apologizing to New Mexico State University's basketball team after a bad travel experience following Thursday night's game.

The NCAA organizes team travel. They booked the Aggies on an overnight flight from Spokane, Wash., immediately after losing to San Diego State.

When the Aggies landed in El Paso, a single bus had to make two trips to take everyone to Las Cruces.

Both teams had been told the loser would fly home that night. But after the game, San Diego State Coach Steve Fisher called the policy "disgraceful."

Fisher added that for all the money the NCAA has, it should have done a better job accommodating whoever lost the late game.
