The battle cry all season long was unfinished business, but it was pretty obvious the Lobos weren't thinking about that when they took the floor in St. Louis. Cameron Bairstow was outstanding and so was Deshawn Delaney, but you had to get production from your other two stars. Alex Kirk was in early foul trouble, so well give him a pass. Kendall Williams struggled and I mean struggled from the floor, going 1-for-9 from the field and O-for-6 from 3-point land. The lack of production took the Lobos biggest weapon away because it was easy to see that mid-way through the second half Bairstow was spent. They are frustrated, they are embarrassed but most of all sad that they let the Lobo fans down. For the underclassmen they have a chance to right a wrong, but for Williams and Bairstow back to back 2nd round losses in the NCAA Tournament will sting for a while.
