ALBUQUERQUE -- A woman died late Tuesday after being struck by a car while crossing the street with two other people near Wyoming and Constitution.
According to a preliminary report by the Albuquerque Police Department, two women were hit by a car traveling northbound on Wyoming around 11:25 p.m.
Officers indicated that the women were not using the crosswalk when the vehicle struck them. A man who was also crossing the street with them was not injured.
Police said all three pedestrians were wearing dark clothing and appeared to be intoxicated.
One woman died at the scene and the other was taken to University Hospital where she remains in stable condition.
The identities of the victim and others involved are not being released at this time pending notification to family members and the conclusion of the investigation.
