A popular Santa Fe café is being evicted from its longtime site.

According to a report in the Santa Fe New Mexican, the Tecolote Café is being evicted from its location on Cerrillos Road.

The business has until the end of April to vacate the space.

Tecolote owner, Katie Adkins, says she believes she is being evicted because of a rumor that she was re-locating.

Adkins says she had been negotiating with developers in the Luna District but never signed a formal deal.
