A man accused of slashing his 2-year-old daughter's throat pleaded no contest in Bernalillo County district court on Wednesday.

Chee Livingston pleaded no contest to kidnapping, child abuse and attempted murder.

In November of 2011, Albuquerque police said Livingston slit his daughter's throat and stabbed his girlfriend before he tried to kill himself. The toddler and mother survived the attack.

Livingston's sentencing is scheduled for June 20 at 3 p.m. He faces between 3 to 27 years behind bars.
