An East Mountains man charged with molesting three young relatives and encouraging them to touch each other learned his fate on Monday.

A district court judge sentenced Matthew Cox to 18 years in prison on criminal sexual penetration and criminal sexual conduct charges.

In 2010, investigators said Cox and his wife, Sheryl, forced three children to attend ritualistic nude meetings. The children claimed Matthew and Sheryl would touch them and encouraged them to engage in incest.

Sheryl Cox will stand trial on Sept. 15.
