(WEAU) A Wisconsin teenager who uses artwork to speak to the world is getting national attention.

We first introduced you to 18 year-old Jake Schindler, a year ago, when he donated his paintings to the Red Cedar Medical Center-Mayo Clinic Health System in Menomonie.

Eighteen year-old Jake Schindleer, who has autism and is non-verbal, uses art to express himself, but what started out as a fun hobby has inspired dozens of letters and is creating more awareness for autism.
