Albuquerque City Council will make up for lost ground on Thursday night, and they hope what happened on Monday doesn't happen again.
Councilors said the disruption at Monday's meeting cost taxpayers around $130,000.
Councilors are now demanding a different scene and have come up with some interim rules:
Also, public outbursts will not be tolerated.
On Thursday, councilors want to decide on who should get the final say in picking a future fire chief or police chief. The council was supposed to vote on the item on Monday, but didn't because of the protestors.
Councilor Ken Sanchez thinks it should still be up to the mayor to pick who gets the job but city councilors should have the final say. Councilor Rey Garduno thinks it should be up to voters to decide.
