The Neal era

In his 6-years under Steve Alford, Craig Neal was the guru of the Lobo offense along with being Alford's number one recruiter. With a 27-and-7 season under his belt and a huge recruiting effort, it is now clear that Neal is his own man. In the coming years you will see the Lobos push the ball every chance they get. Neal believes that more possessions lead to more scoring opportunities. Neal played under Bobby Cremins at Georgia Tech and it's human nature to fall back on what you know. The Lobo recruits can run the floor and their defense will be difficult to deal with because of their size and length. You can't replace a 3-threesome like Alex Kirk, Kendall Williams and Cameron Bairstow, but I think Neal is on the right track.
