Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly held an Albuquerque man at gunpoint and stole everything he had with him after agreeing to meet via Craigslist.

“I was gonna trade a tablet with the guy and he went to the ATM, got some money, came back, started looking at my tablet in a really shady way,” Derek Griego said.

Griego says a man with tattoos all over his body and a rhinestone cheek piercing pretended to get cash from the ATM to pay him, then robbed him.

“He said something about people getting robbed on craigslist and then reached under his shirt, pulled out a gun cocked it, aimed it right at my chest I put my hands up, he grabbed my tablet, grabbed my phone, my keys, and then he pointed the gun at me until he got in the car,” Griego said.

Griego says the suspect was driving a gray 2010 Toyota Camry with gray MSR rims.

“He took my keys to my jeep, my iPhone 4 and my Samsung Galaxy Tab,” Griego said.

Not only is Griego out a lot of money now, he’s still shaken up by a man holding a gun to his chest.

“My stomach dropped,” Griego said.

APD is looking for the suspect. They describe him as a white male in his early 20s with tattoos all over his body and a rhinestone piercing on his cheek. If you see him, contact APD at 242-COPS.
