Just days before an Albuquerque woman's twins were born everything she had prepared for them was destroyed in a fire.
Aleeah Teasley lost almost everything in an apartment fire earlier this month and now Teasley has her hands full.
Her twin babies are just 10 days old and last night was their first night home. There’s one thing she doesn’t have to worry about anymore. “My babies don't need anything,” said Teasley. “They don't have to want for anything until they're about 5 years old.
We shared her story with our viewers about 10 days ago. She says people from all over the state stepped up to make sure her babies came home to everything they needed. Ava and Adian got new car seats, new strollers, new cribs, bottles, clothes all which was donated.
And Teasley couldn't be more thankful.
“In that fire I learned that life is more valuable,” said Teasley. “Thank God that no one was hurt because it could have been worse.”
Teasley says the Albuquerque fire department and police department both bought her a lot of stuff after the fire.
