Dozens of military surprise reunion videos go viral every year, but this latest video will especially touch the hearts of New Mexicans since the soldier grew up here in Albuquerque.

Staff Sgt. Phillip Lovato missed out on the births of his newborn twins while deployed in Afghanistan, but as part of the TODAY Show's "Modern Dad" series, Lovato was able to reunite with his family on Wednesday morning.

A viewer tipped off KOB Eyewitness News 4 that Lovato and his wife, Danielle, grew up in Albuquerque and graduated from Cibola High School in 2006. The family now lives in Texas, where Lovato is stationed at Fort Hood.

Grab a tissue when you watch this heartwarming reunion--the full video can be viewed on TODAY's website.
