A main road that leads to the Santa Fe plaza was shut down Sunday because of a suspicious container found by a visitor.

Santa Fe Police say the visitor noticed a container outside of the library and pointed it out to some nearby firefighters, who found it suspicious.

Some of the nearby shops were evacuated near Washington and Marcy Street.

The bomb squad was called to the scene, where they determined it was bottle of insecticide.

They’re still investigating how the container got there.

All roads have been reopened.
