Albuquerque police are searching for a driver who fled on foot after crashing into a building near Juan Tabo and Constitution on Monday morning.

According to Albuquerque police, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford F-350 for an expired license plate around 1:30 a.m. Police said the driver gave the officer a fake ID card and sped away from the scene.

APD said the driver then ran through a red light at Juan Tabo and Constitution and T-boned another vehicle. The truck went over the curb and collided with a business located on the corner.

The driver then fled on foot and has not yet been located.

Police say the driver of the vehicle that was hit by the truck did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
