A Metropolitan Detention Center inmate is back in custody after inadvertently being released Wednesday.

MDC wrongfully released Taylor Robert’s after jail staff made an error while reading the court documents.

According to Roberts’ criminal complaint, on March 2, 2014 Roberts damaged his ex-girlfriend’s home and called her around 300 times in three days after the break up. The criminal complaint also states, on April 1, Roberts sent numerous emails to his ex-girlfriend, in violation of a temporary restraining order.

Roberts also has a warrant out of Kansas for felony criminal threat, battery, intimidation of a witness, and battery on a peace officer.

Roberts was found Wednesday night at hotel in the Nob Hill area. The manager at the lodge confirmed he checked in this morning and paid for the entire month.
