It was a robbery attempt in Rio Rancho that turned into a high speed chase and ended with cops shooting one of the suspects.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 obtained a dramatic 911 call from the man police said was the targeted victim of the street bandits.

In the 911call, you can hear the man saying he fought back when Patrick Moran, Patricia Baca and Chinh Ngyuen allegedly tried to rob him at the bank. The victim stayed on the line with the 911 operator and led police right to the suspects.

"I pulled up at the ATM and a guy jumped out with a gun, put it right in my face and said 'Give me all your money (expletive.)' I hit him with the car door and he took off running. They're in a white SUV," said the man in the 911 call.

He sped after the suspect and gave the dispatcher the license plate number and directions where they were going.

"They just ran a red light,” said the victim, before losing the SUV.

Police caught up with the SUV and said the suspects shot at officers during a chase that hit speeds of more than a hundred miles an hour.

It ended on Highway 4 where police shot one of the suspects in the arm.

Video from one of the officer's lapel cameras didn't capture the shooting but it shows one of the suspects in handcuffs next to that white SUV.
