Chasing the Dream

Cameron Bairstow went from an "Oh, by the way" in the recruiting of Hugh Greenwood to the 49th pick in the NBA Draft. The other two Lobos (Kendall Williams and Alex Kirk) went undrafted, but that doesn't mean you stop chasing your dream. Both Williams and Kirk will get to play in the NBA Summer League and that is an open opportunity to the Bulls and the Cavaliers and any other team that you can play the game. In all, there will be 5 Lobos that will play in the NBA Summer League. Tony Snell, who was picked by the Bulls last season, and Drew Gordon, who has been playing overseas, will both be in Las Vegas. Bairstow, Snell and Williams will all play for the Bulls. Kirk signed a free agent deal with Cleveland and Gordon will play for the Lakers. That is not bad for the 3-time Mountain West Conference Tournament Champion.
