Religious leaders have put out a call for a public gathering at the site of the latest deadly officer-involved shooting in Albuquerque.
The gathering will take place at 3 p.m. on Upper Meadow Avenue, where a U.S. deputy marshal shot and killed a fugitive on Wednesday.
The U.S. Marshals Service said the deputy was attempting to serve a federal arrest warrant on the 9000 block of Upper Meadow Avenue SW when the shooting happened.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the fugitive.
The investigation is being handled by New Mexico State Police, Albuquerque Police Department, Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department and Bernalillo District Attorney's Office.
