Let's face it. Big construction projects usually cause headaches for drivers and businesses and the Paseo/I-25 project is no exception.

Simply put: "This Sucks".

It says so in front of Albuquerque Moving and Storage on Paseo just west of I-25.

Owner Robert Hogue and Operations Manager Notah Howe put up the sign about three days ago.

"We didn't do it to necessarily get anybody else's feedback. It was just to display our own disappointment," Howe said.

The company has been hit hard by the construction project. For one thing, they've had to direct their trucks in difficult-to-maneuver roads and streets.

"Our drivers, both freight and non-affiliated, do great navigating in here, but it does back up how quickly they can enter and exit the property and getting onto I-25 is always interesting," Howe said.

The company doesn't have a timetable as to when they'll take down the sign  but their best guess is once all the mess on I-25 and Paseo is complete, but until then, the sign will stay.

The sign has caught the attention of the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

A spokesperson says officials have been working with the business owner since the beginning of the project. They plan on having another meeting next week to see if anything can be done to minimize the impact on the business.
