Parts of the Santa Fe Plaza will be closed to motorists Monday as the city’s initiative to make the area more pedestrian friendly continues.
The west side of the plaza at Lincoln Avenue and east side at Old Santa Fe Trail will not be accessible for cars and trucks.
The closure was supposed to happen last week after the plan was approved by the city council. Santa Fe officials expect large flower planters to be used as the areas new barricades.
