Casey Messer, Good Day New Mexico Host

Casey Messer was born in Alaska and moved to southern New Mexico when she was 10 and graduated high school in Alamogordo. She began her television career in college at KRWG News 22, taking on the duties reporting weather.

Messer graduated from New Mexico State University with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. After graduating, Messer hosted a lifestyle home show, Platinum Lifestyles, which aired on KOB-TV, the NBC affiliate in New Mexico.

In 2007, she won Miss New Mexico USA and competed in Los Angeles for Miss USA.
In 2008 she beat out nearly a 100 candidates to become the VJ on My50-TV, a CW affiliate.  It was her work at My50-TV which caught the attention of REELZ CEO, Stan E. Hubbard, who offered her a hosting position at the national network.

At REELZ, Messer hosted several entertainment and movie-themed shows, including Hollywood Dailies where she announced the breaking news that REELZ had acquired the controversial The Kennedys miniseries. The announcement was global news and the miniseries earned the network its first ever Emmy Award nominations and wins.

Since joining Good Day New Mexico, Casey has hosted the highest rated episode to date.
You may have also seen Messer hosting DirecTV's The Screening Room for DirecTV, or popping up in feature films and tv shows where she played Val Kilmer's daughter in the comedy MacGruber, the pool Mom in Odd Thomas and a reporter in A&E's Longmire.

In her free time, Messer enjoys watching movies, quoting Friends and Seinfeld and you might just see her out running. Messer is an avid runner and to date has completed six marathons, including Chicago, New York, Athens and of course The Duke City! It was her first!

Messer is excited to be a part of the Good Day New Mexico family where she enjoys talking with locals and sharing a part of her day with you!
