A navy sailor with New Mexico ties ended up in the hospital after trying to break the world record for pull-ups in 24- hours.
He ended up about 828 short, but managed to complete 3,202 pull-ups in 19.5 hours.
Mike McCastle told KOB he had to stop because his kidneys started to shut down.
Mike's family is from New Mexico.
His mom was there Washington State with him as he took his shot at the record.
He was also raising money for the Wounded Warrior project, in which he garnered over $9,300.
