Storms brought massive flooding to a northern New Mexico village late Monday.
Resident Rodney Montoya sent KOB several photos from La Villita, which is north of Espanola.
Montoya said he heard a loud clap, and when he looked outside, he says he saw a wall of water around 15 feet high coming his way.
"My mom's house had probably five foot of sediment and mud in her front yard. Her garage door, her car are buried in sediment," he said.
After the storm passed, Montoya said there was still two feet of water surrounding his home and vehicles.
On Tuesday, more parts of the state are facing the threat of flash flooding, with watches still in effect for many eastern New Mexico counties until 9 p.m.
