Police dog helps nab burglary suspect at repair shop

Albuquerque police took a burglary suspect into custody after a police dog located the person inside a closed auto repair shop early Wednesday.

According to APD officer Fred Duran, the suspect was spotted on One Stop Auto Care's surveillance video during closing hours.

Officers responded to the shop, located at 225 Eubank Boulevard, and took the suspect into custody with help from a K-9 unit.

KOB obtained the video which shows someone breaking into vehicles in the back lot of the business. The video also shows the suspect being taken away in a stretcher.

The business owners said all the stolen items were recovered. They owners plan on installing more surveillance cameras to prevent future burglaries.
