The University of New Mexico football team left Albuquerque on Monday for a two week camp in Ruidoso. The Lobos look to use this time away from home to focus on football.
"These kids are here all year so it's good to step on a different practice field," said head coach Bob Davie. "It's good to eat some different food, to sleep in a different bed. We're real excited about it. It's a business trip for us."
"i'm just looking forward to get away from here and think about nothing but football, all about football. Football, football, football," said running back Teriyon Gipson. "I'm ready to go up there and focus and get ready for the season."
The Lobos open the season August 30th against UTEP.
