RIO RANCHO, NM --Cleveland High School is the only football program outside of Las Cruces to win the 5A state title in the past four years.

The Storm will try to get back to their championship ways this season. They’ll do it with some new faces in key positions, but one returning weapon is receiver Marcus Williams. He is one of the top wideouts in the state who likes to pattern his game after Detroit’s Calvin Johnson.

"When the ball is in the air, I don't know if there's much better than him,” said Storm head coach Heath Ridenhour. “He's able to go up and get the ball.  He's able to use his hands. He’s a big strong physical receiver.  He'll play some time at free safety on defense for us.  He's getting some looks from New Mexico State, the University of New Mexico. We expect big things out of Marcus."
