Albuquerque Police released new information Saturday on the shootings of four women near Vassar and Candelaria.

They have identified the woman shot and killed as Anna Vigil; the other three women shot are recovering from non-life threatening injuries.

Police believe 46-year-old Marcos Delgado was attempting revenge on Vigil, who they believe was his ex-girlfriend, and her new boyfriend.

Police say he sought out the couple, and rammed into Vigil’s car.

Police say she was the only one in the car at the time, and that she fell from the car and Delgado shot her.

Then, they say, he shot three other women, one of whom was pregnant, as well as a dog.

Police say the dog is okay, and the pregnant woman’s baby was not harmed.

Vigil died from her injuries.

Police say Vigil and Delgado had at least one child together, and that CYFD is assisting with the investigation and the child or children are safe.

Police would not say Saturday whether they had more than one child.

Police are now asking Marcos Delgado to surrender, and for anyone who might have information about his whereabouts to call 911.
