Home invasion suspect flees after firing shots into house

ALBUQUERQUE — An armed home invasion suspect is on the run after breaking into a residence on Coal Avenue Monday morning.

Albuquerque police said the offender entered a house in the 1600 block of Coal and fired shots once inside.

No one is known to have sustained a gunshot wound at this time, police said.

APD is searching for the offender, who is believed to be a black male with a scruffy beard. He was last seen leaving the area in a silver or black four-door vehicle with a partial license plate reading "NLB."
