ALBUQUERQUE -- Police are searching for two suspects who got away in a white pickup truck after their partner in crime was shot and killed by a victim in northeast Albuquerque on Friday morning.
After 7 a.m., officers found a man's body in the 3400 block of Wellesley Drive, which is located near Carlisle Boulevard and Aztec Road.
Police had received several shots fired calls around 5:45 a.m., and after arriving found that two residents had been the victims of a home invasion by two or three "armed assailants".
APD spokesman Tanner Tixier said one of the victims shot and killed one of the offenders.
APD spokesman Tanner Tixier said the suspects fled the scene in a white two-door, full-sized pickup truck with a white sticker in the middle of the back window and a white sticker in the left corner of the back window. One of the suspects involved jumped into the passenger seat as the vehicle left at a high rate of speed, according to police.
One of the suspects is possibly still armed.
