ALBUQUERQUE -- The University of New Mexico plans to address allegations of hazing by the UNM women's soccer team at a news conference Wednesday afternoon.
Campus police reported finding three young women highly intoxicated over the weekend. The women said other team members forced them to strip naked, drink excessive amounts of alcohol and then sprayed them with urine.
Two of the women ended up in the hospital.
University administrators are now investigating the incident. The allegations were enough to convince athletic officials to cancel the first game.
