A day after KOB Eyewitness News 4 anchors Tom Joles and Chris Ramirez called him out, Albuquerque Mayor Richard Berry took the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS.

Berry was also nominated for the challenge by students from the Public Academy for Performing Arts.

"We just want to make sure that everybody in the community understands this is an important issue and we urge you to participate in the Ice Bucket Challenge. But as importantly, get out there and support ALS foundation and all the great work they're doing," Berry said before students dumped the buckets of ice water on him.

"Bad day to wear a suit," the mayor joked.

Berry called out several members of the media to take the challenge, including KOB General Manager Mike Burgess.

The mayor's office took a collection for Berry's challenge and donated about $500.
