An Oklahoma City newspaper says the Los Angeles Dodgers will shift their Triple-A affiliation from Albuquerque to Oklahoma City next season.
The Oklahoman reports a group affiliated with the Dodgers is on the verge of buying the Oklahoma City RedHawks, currently the Houston Astros' Triple-A affiliate.
Albuquerque has been affiliated with the Dodgers since 2008, and was previously affiliated with the team from 1963 to 2000.
Isotopes General Manager John Traub told KOB the Dodgers' possible purchase of Oklahoma City was news to him
“At this point it’s just speculation and nothing’s been determined," Traub said. "It does not in any way threaten the future of baseball in Albuquerque.”
